Japan’s JMIU continues to press on the IBM Japan “lockout style” firing issue

The latest get-together is reported here (Japanese).

It sounds like the earlier demonstrations and media attention were not just for show, or as a nod to the four individuals who are now suing in Tokyo District Court for their jobs and requisite back pay.

Good to see JMIU making a concerted effort and at issue that goes to clear violation of Japanese Labor Law.

Notice how no one at IBM Japan is claiming that IBM Japan is making these downsizing decisions unilaterally—without direction from “Global” or the home office in Armonk, New York.
