You know the more I look at that lame township site of ours, click here, so you needn’t move your mouse back too far, those pictures are really arrayed to emphasize Township Council, almost to the detriment of the mayor. They have Jim Dowden pushed way over in the left-hand corner, in a spot like where the Surgeon General’s warning goes on a cigarette ad. (The place the marketers determined was the least likely that your eyes would focus on, believe it or not.) And it’s kind of an angled picture, like he’s leaning up against the site of the website. In the corner. Over there.
Probably enough extra space to stick a picture of Ann B. Davis (the maid from the Brady Bunch) in there . . .
And Council is all sprawled out along the rest of the page. (What’s with the black-and-white photo of Flannery though? How about that Courier-News announcement picture, that was in color.)
Isn’t it symbolic of what the current Bridgewater Township Council has done to the Mayor? Kind of pushed him aside, and taken over the stage as much as they could. Led this year by a lady who is not well defined or understood by the general Bridgewater community, who’s just looking to move her picture a little to the left . . .
(You can be sure next year, it will be a big picture, front and center, on the main page greeting you as you then enter the website.)
