Kerry-Dean: 2004’s political entertainment

Kerry continues to play it cool, and Dean is busy sacking and “restructuring” his campaign team. The lock wasn’t much of a lock, it turned out, so somebody’s head must roll. And it turns out to be Joe Trippi, who was the inspiration for the Vermont ex-governor’s internet-based campaign.

Like so much in politics, you help out, and then when they get what they wanted, suddenly you become a liability.

It is so cynically refreshing to see the same Machiavellian tactics going on in the “reform candidate’s” operation that you expect to see anywhere else. Trippi helped Dean get out of the basement, and for thanks he gets thrown under the campaign bus.
