Americares Japan <——– HERE.
In the past year, I did a post where I referred to the Affordable Care Act as "Americare", instead of the common derisive "Obamacare". Apparently some people searching for "Americare Japan" get this blog instead.
I do not know much about Americares with "S", but they look legitimate. So if you also think they are legitimate, then go to the link in the first line and make your contribution there.
The important thing is that you go through a service organization that you trust will get the relief to those who desperately need it. Japan is a wealthy country compared to Haiti or Indonesia, but that doesn't mean there aren't thousands and thousands of people who are in immediate need, and will be in constant need in the days and weeks to come.
Don’t forget about these people weeks from now, when the news about the Tohoku tragedy recedes. When the TV show aspect of this is over, these people are still going to need help getting back on their feet.
