Virginia Rometty elected President and CEO of IBM.

This just broke today in the Financial Post.

It’s interesting to recall that in my current case, Gundlach v. IBM, “Ginni” Rometty was the IBM official who spoke at the IBM Japan conference in July 2008. The Paul Hastings attorneys try to make Ms. Rometty out to be some mid-level official within IBM. But people who really knew, knew that Ms. Rometty was on her way to that multi-million dollars per year top spot.

Congratulations to Ms. Rometty! Now please get your legal department to the table, and stop acting like IBM Japan’s corporate unit would not come under New York jurisdiction the same as the parent company in Westchester . . .
