NYT’s Tabuchi puts light back on Japan corporate’s “Boredom Room”.

Coincidentally, this was just the subject of a Dilbert comic strip the other day.

Sony is described in the article as using the Boredom Room as aggression against employees who refuse to take early retirement.

At least one foreign affiliate of a US multinational (so-called “global”) corporation has apparently been circumventing the Boredom Room for the Court Room.
