Recently, I tried to calculate how much walking I’ve done since I started distance walking, or a walking routine, in December 1994. Thirty thousand miles. An acquaintance pointed out that it’s more than the circumference of the Earth.
[Update 10/8/14: This is probably now over 32,000 miles. An average of over seven a day in the recent two years. Coming up on two years that I’ve been distance walking.]
[Update 8/1/15: approx. 33,500, including nearly 10,000 where I have been living in Pennsylvania the past four years.]
