By my count, I have a:
United States federal return;
Japanese National tax return, (that I probably should have submitted before I left? Or maybe designated a proxy?);
A New Jersey Nonresident tax return, which I have been filing to preserve domicile since 2007;
A Pennsylvania Resident tax return, for the eleven days that I was a resident of Pennsylvania in 2010;
a possible Lancaster County earned income tax return, as a zero return, since I didn’t have earned income in those eleven days.
So that is five. Plus get my driver’s license worked out. And a haircut. My old barber is in New Jersey–I’m not sure I want to travel back just for a haircut.
